Objective of this scholarship is to support a St. Therese parishioner and graduating high school student with a one-time award to support costs toward textbooks by recognizing a student’s commitment to parish service and/or community service.
Applicants for this one-time scholarship award must be:
•A registered member of St. Therese Catholic Church for two years prior to the application deadline
•Demonstrate in detail of one's active participation in St. Therese parish (ministry involvement and service) and/or with a community organization supported by St. Therese parish (i.e. FeedNC, Christian Mission, Lake Norman Pregnancy Center, Food for Days, Kindness Closet, and more)
•Graduation from an accredited North Carolina high school or home schooled in North Carolina, accepted for admission as a full-time student into an accredited two-year or four-year degree program/university.

St. Therese parishioner, Clark G. Ross has established a scholarship to be awarded annually to a high school senior who is a member of St. Therese. The scholarship provides $2,500 annually for unrestricted college expenses for the student. The award is renewable for four academic years, a maximum award of $10,000. The recipient of this scholarship will receive $2,500 before June 30th. An additional $2,500 (maximum of four years in total) will be automatically awarded when the student submits his/her year end college grades in June. The student must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Dr. Clark Ross has taught economics at Davidson College since 1979. Since then, he has been a St. Therese parishioner and is the former chair of the parish's Pastoral Council. The scholarship selection committee will include St. Therese parishioner Aisling Zaccarelli (former Pastoral Council member), Ann Marie Costa (Thatcher Professor of Theatre at Davidson College), and Kelli Olszewski (St. Therese Director of Religious Education).
