Clark G. Ross St. Therese College Scholarship
St. Therese parishioner, Clark G. Ross has established a scholarship to be awarded annually to a high-school senior who is a member of St. Therese. The scholarship provides $2,500 annually for unrestricted college expenses for the student. The award is renewable for four academic years, a maximum award of $10,000.
A complete application will include the following:
1. Self Attestation that the student is graduating this current spring (2023) from a local high school and will attend either a four-year or a two-year college this coming year
2. Self Attestation that the student is currently a registered member of the St. Therese parish for at least two years
3. Demonstrated financial need by answering the following questions:
a. What are your anticipated college expenses for the 2023-24 academic year?
b. Do you qualify for financial aid from the college you will be attending? And, if so, how much financial aid will you receive?
c. What are your available resources to cover these expenses?

4. Personal statement of aspirations to include how the student models “the little way” of St. Therese
5. Summary of achievements during the four years of high school (ideally, a resume)
The winning student will receive $2,500 before June 30. An additional $2,500 (maximum of four years in total) will be automatically awarded when the student submits his/her year-end college grades in June. The student is expected to have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
The scholarship selection committee will be St. Therese parishioner and former Pastoral Council member Aisling Zaccarelli (Chair), Ann Marie Costa (Thatcher Professor of Theatre at Davidson College), and Kelli Olszewski, St. Therese Director of Religious Education. Dr. Clark Ross has taught economics at Davidson College since 1979. Since then, he has been a St. Therese parishioner and he is a current member of the Pastoral Council and the immediate past Council chair.
